OUR CURRENT PROJECTS
The
Tefillin Project
Thousands of new olim (immigrants) living in Israel are beginning
to practise mitzvot for the first time. While the Israeli State
is supportive with welfare funding, there is no provision for
religious items.
Similarly, there are
thousands of children living in Israel whose parents simply cannot
afford to buy a pair of Tefillin for their Bar Mitzvah.
The Mizrachi Tefillin
project supplies Tefillin to all those who cannot afford them, so
helping them to fulfil this great mitzvah.
Gap
Year Scholarships
Mizrachi believes that
every Jewish student should be given the opportunity to develop their
love of Israel and Torah, whatever their finances.
Mizrachi runs a
scholarship scheme providing financial support for high school
graduates who wish to study at yeshiva or seminary but cannot afford
it.
This strategy is based on
the belief that the students will return with a greater love of Israel
and Torah that will be passed on to their families and communities.
